Tallinn residents aged 14 and older still have a few days left to vote for up to three favourite ideas to be implemented in their district.

This weekend, the Kadriorg Park will host the light festival “Valgus kõnnib 2025”, which will bring temporary traffic changes in the Kadriorg area on the evenings of September 19 and 20.

On 12 September, the Tallinn Electoral Committee registered the candidates for the 2025 Tallinn City Council elections and conducted a draw to assign candidate numbers.

The City of Tallinn is taking the next step in building a new tram line – preparations for the construction of the Pelguranna tram line are moving into the design phase. The new line will serve the neighborhoods of Pelguranna, Sitsi, Pelgulinn, Karjamaa, and Kalamaja, providing fast and convenient connections to the city center. It will also improve mobility options for pedestrians and cyclists.

On Sunday, 14 September, the Pikk Street community festival will take place in the Old Town, bringing concerts, performances, and workshops into the urban space. Visitors can explore a flea market, discover many closed courtyards, and in the evening, a long dining table will be set up in the heart of the Old Town.

The Tallinn Transport Department, in cooperation with the Integration Foundation, has launched the campaign “Learn Estonian on the go!”, bringing language learning into everyday travel. For just over a month, simple language tips and illustrations will be displayed on public transport and at stops.

A total of 11 political parties, three electoral alliances, and 13 independent candidates have submitted their registration documents for the upcoming Tallinn City Council elections. In total, 1,125 candidates are competing for seats in the new City Council, which will be elected on 19 October. Candidate numbers will be assigned by a draw this Friday.

The City of Tallinn and Nordlin Ehitus OÜ signed a contract today to begin the extensive renovation of Kadriorg Stadium. The work will include upgrades to the main stadium arena, the football training arena, and the stadium’s technical infrastructure.
