Tallinn is strengthening business cooperation with South Korea.

Five South Korean technology companies have been selected for the Test in Tallinn innovation program and will begin testing their solutions in Tallinn. The selection was made from eight companies that presented their innovation projects to the program’s evaluation committee.

The City of Tallinn and Tehnopol Science and Business Park’s joint smart city solutions competition, Tallinnovation, has reached a new milestone this year. While in previous years the contest has only offered testing opportunities within Tallinn, this time three Estonian companies will also get to pilot their solutions abroad – in the German city of Heidelberg.

Four Estonian space startups receive €240,000 in funding

The Estonian Business Incubator of the European Space Agency (ESA BIC Estonia) has selected four new space-tech startups in its latest call: Babayte, Spiral Hydrogen, MS Forest, and Energy Risk Service. Each company will receive a development grant of €60,000 — half of the funding comes from the European Space Agency and the other half from the cities of Tartu and Tallinn, depending on the startup’s location.
