Tallinn calls for increased EU funding to meet climate goals

On October 21-22, Tallinn's Deputy Mayor Viljar Jaamu participated in the European Mayors’ Summit held in Strasbourg. The summit brought together European city leaders to share their vision with newly elected Members of the European Parliament and discuss the future priorities of the European Union. The key focus was on the role of cities in shaping EU policy and their contribution to achieving climate objectives.

Tallinn Migration Centre relocates to new address at Endla 8

The Tallinn Migration Centre will begin operations at its new location, Endla Street 8. The centre, previously located at Niine Street 2, will be closed on October 1 and 2 due to the move, and starting Thursday, October 3, it will welcome clients at the new address.

Tallinn's smart city solutions presented at the Eurocities conference

Tallinn's Deputy Mayor Margot Roose participated in the Eurocities 2024 conference held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, from May 29-31, along with representatives from over 400 European cities. The focus of the conference was on the expectations of cities towards European Union institutions over the next five years for creating a sustainable, resilient, and innovative future.

Tallinn supports various music events with over €154,000 in grants

As a UNESCO City of Music, Tallinn pays special attention to music events that that add vibrancy to the city's cultural lineup. For the first round of music project grants in 2024, the city will allocate a total of €154,070 to support 32 initiatives. A record number of 90 projects were submitted for this funding round.
