The City of Tallinn and Nordlin Ehitus OÜ signed a contract today to begin the extensive renovation of Kadriorg Stadium. The work will include upgrades to the main stadium arena, the football training arena, and the stadium’s technical infrastructure.

The Swedbank Tallinn Marathon and Tallinna Sügisjooks (Autumn Run) will take place on the weekend of 13–14 September, bringing tens of thousands of running enthusiasts to the districts of Põhja-Tallinn, Kesklinn, and Haabersti. As a result, there will be temporary changes to traffic and public transport.

From today until 22 September, all Tallinn residents aged 14 and older can cast their votes for up to three of their favorite ideas to be implemented in their district.

Starting 1 September, Tallinn’s public transport will switch to the autumn–winter schedule, which means timetable changes for many bus and tram lines.

The City of Tallinn offers residents free legal counselling, provided according to a schedule in every district. The next sessions will take place on 4 September at Pirita District Government, on 11 September at Kaja Cultural Centre, and on 25 September at Lasnamäe District Government — all from 9:00–13:00.

From 2 September, paid public parking in Tallinn will be operated by OÜ EuroPark Estonia, replacing AS Ühisteenused. The change of service provider is technical and does not affect the principles or pricing of parking.

On Friday, 29 August, the city of Tallinn will come alive with the urban culture festival Kultuuriöö (“Culture Night”). This one-day festival features more than twenty diverse events that highlight the richness of the city’s cultural scene, introduce new artists to the public, and invite audiences to reflect on important themes in culture. This year’s festival carries the subtitle “Me and the Machine.”

This summer marks 20 years since the creation of Roosimägi (Rose Hill) in Kadriorg Park. Over the years, this beloved rose collection and beautiful landscaping have become one of the park’s highlights for both residents and visitors.

At today’s meeting, the Tallinn City Government appointed new district governors for Kesklinn and Pirita. Starting from August 20th, Ahti Kallikorm will lead the Kesklinn district, and Ivan Lavrentjev will head the Pirita district.

Today, the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) launches the international video series “Travel Redefined: Tourism for People and Planet.” The series, filmed across six continents, features more than 20 organisations and destinations. Representing Estonia is Tallinn’s tourism brand Visit Tallinn. The Tallinn stories focus on conference tourism and explain how even very large events can be organised in an environmentally conscious way, leaving behind a positive impact.
