Tallinn to send Estonian companies as joint stand to world’s leading property and investment event MIPIM 2024 in Cannes on 12-15 March

MIPIM is one of the world’s most important international trade fairs, bringing together professionals in the fields of property, architecture, place marketing and investment from all over the world. Tallinn has been taking part in the event with local business operators every year since 2011 with the aim of raising international awareness of Tallinn as a business and investment environment and supporting entrepreneurs in entering foreign markets and attracting investments.

Tallinn and the Estonian Convention Bureau honor the best conference organizers of the year

Last night, the 2023 Conference Achievement of the Year was announced at Fotografiska where Tallinn Deputy Mayor Joosep Vimm and Chairman of the Estonian Convention Bureau Ott Sarapuu acknowledged the past year's most outstanding conference organizers, highlighting 27 events that generated an estimated benefit of over 9.5 million euros to the city and Estonia's economy.

City accepted 21 Test in Tallinn projects

At the beginning of last year, Tallinn launched the Test in Tallinn programme, initiated by Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart, inviting companies to test new technologies in urban spaces and systems. The focus was on tests in urban mobility, renewable energy and energy saving. To date, a total of 37 test project applications have been received, of which 21 have been accepted.

Tallinn improves its score as a sustainable tourism destination in the global rankings

Tallinn has shown progress in the Global Destination Sustainability Index (GDS-Index) 2023 analysis, a program renowned as the most reliable benchmarking and improvement tool in tourism sustainability. Since joining the program in 2021, Tallinn has consistently improved its performance. Today, it surpasses the average scores of cities in North America, Eastern and Western Europe, and also ranks higher than any other city in Eastern Europe in individual assessments.
