The Swedbank Tallinn Marathon and Tallinna Sügisjooks (Autumn Run) will take place on the weekend of 13–14 September, bringing tens of thousands of running enthusiasts to the districts of Põhja-Tallinn, Kesklinn, and Haabersti. As a result, there will be temporary changes to traffic and public transport.

Starting 1 September, Tallinn’s public transport will switch to the autumn–winter schedule, which means timetable changes for many bus and tram lines.

In February, the City of Tallinn and Viimsi Municipality signed a joint memorandum of understanding, under which bus line No. 1, which currently ends in Viimsi Centre, will be extended to Vimka Ski Centre starting 1 September.

From 1 September, Tallinn, in cooperation with Rae Municipality and Põhja-Eesti Ühistranspordikeskus (North-Estonia Public Transport Centre), will launch bus line No. 47, connecting Ülemiste City and Peetri. Initially, the new line will operate until the end of this year.

From 2 September, paid public parking in Tallinn will be operated by OÜ EuroPark Estonia, replacing AS Ühisteenused. The change of service provider is technical and does not affect the principles or pricing of parking.

The Tallinn Transport Department has expanded the parking areas for shared e-scooters, light mopeds and bicycles to Telliskivi and the Balti jaam area, as well as to the Kompassi, Raua and Kadriorg districts. In addition to the existing central city zones, 104 new parking spaces have been established.

Due to the weather conditions on 23 August, the Ironman Tallinn team has announced that the competitions will be delayed by three hours. This change also affects the previously published public transport detour times.

Next weekend, 23–24 August, the international triathlon IRONMAN Tallinn 2025 will cause temporary traffic restrictions and changes in both Tallinn and Harju County. In Tallinn, these changes will mainly affect Haabersti and Põhja-Tallinn districts, with parking and traffic restrictions as well as adjustments to public transport timetables.

Starting 2 September 2025, public paid parking services in Tallinn will be provided by OÜ EuroPark Estonia, replacing the current operator AS Ühisteenused. The change of service provider is technical in nature and will not affect parking rules or prices.

From 1 September, City of Tallinn will introduce a new bus route, No. 8A, running between Mähe aedlinn and Viru keskus to provide Mähe and Pirita residents with an alternative connection to the city centre. The decision follows feedback on previous changes to route No. 8.
