City lighting maintenance handed over to TLT – new contacts for fault reports
Starting today, 1 August, the maintenance of street lighting and electrical installations in Tallinn will be provided by AS Tallinna Linnatransport (TLT). For residents, the change in service provider brings no changes to the service itself, except for new contact details for reporting faults.
Culture Night festival takes over the streets of Tallinn this Friday
On Friday, 29 August, the city of Tallinn will come alive with the urban culture festival Kultuuriöö (“Culture Night”). This one-day festival features more than twenty diverse events that highlight the richness of the city’s cultural scene, introduce new artists to the public, and invite audiences to reflect on important themes in culture. This year’s festival carries the subtitle “Me and the Machine.”
New parking areas added for shared e-scooters and bicycles
The Tallinn Transport Department has expanded the parking areas for shared e-scooters, light mopeds and bicycles to Telliskivi and the Balti jaam area, as well as to the Kompassi, Raua and Kadriorg districts. In addition to the existing central city zones, 104 new parking spaces have been established.

The City of Tallinn, the Seoul Business Agency, and Startup Estonia signed a memorandum of understanding on 19 June with the aim of fostering cooperation between Estonian and South Korean startups and supporting two-way market entry.

From September, bus line no. 1 will run further into Viimsi
In February, the City of Tallinn and Viimsi Municipality signed a joint memorandum of understanding, under which bus line No. 1, which currently ends in Viimsi Centre, will be extended to Vimka Ski Centre starting 1 September.
Tallinn's bicycle shelter procurement canceled
The City of Tallinn has cancelled the bicycle shelter procurement initiated by the Tallinn Urban Environment and Public Works Department, as all bids significantly exceeded the expected cost. The department has been tasked with launching a new tender that incorporates expert recommendations and ensures a reasonable price.
