Tallinn public transport during Christmas and New Year

During the Christmas period, Tallinn’s public transport will operate according to the Sunday timetable. On the evening of 31 December, traffic restrictions will be in place in the Freedom Square area due to the New Year’s concert and light show, and several bus routes will be diverted. After midnight, in the early hours of 1 January, the operating hours of a number of routes will be extended to ensure that people celebrating the New Year can return home safely by public transport.

Free disposal for old tyres

Old car tyres can be handed in free of charge at tyre collection points, waste stations, or at the point of sale when buying new tyres.

Snow clearing contracts signed in all Tallinn districts

All eight districts of Tallinn have now signed contracts with service providers responsible for snow removal and de-icing. A new measure this season is that, in addition to roadways, the city will also clear all sidewalks owned by the city.

Vote at any polling station in Tallinn until 16 October

Until Thursday, 16 October, all voters can cast their vote at any of the 16 citywide polling stations across Tallinn, regardless of their place of residence. Starting from Friday, voting will only be possible in the voter’s home electoral district.
