Renovated Vana-Kalamaja Street to be reopened
The reconstruction works on Vana-Kalamaja Street in Põhja-Tallinn are approaching completion. The project resulted in a high-quality urban space that ensures safe and comfortable travel for people, with a focus on promoting walking and cycling. The renovated street will be opened during a street festival, which takes place from 1-3 September. The regular route of bus line number 3 will resume on 1 September and the street will reopen to car traffic on the evening of 3 September.
Public competition open: Tallinn to invest €100,000 into smart city solutions
The application round for the Tallinnovation competition, organised jointly by the City of Tallinn and the science and business campus Tehnopol, began this week. The competition’s goal is to discover smart city solutions that can make the city’s services and environment more comfortable for both residents and visitors. This is the second year that a total of up to 100,000 euros will be invested into smart city solutions.
Tallinn is making investments into smart solutions for companies
The Tallinnovation competition, which supports smart city solutions, received ten applications this year. The city of Tallinn, along with the Tehnopol Science and Business Park, chose four winners from among the ten applicants. The winners will receive 100,000 euros of investment, which is a record-breaking sum.

Construction work on a unique extreme sport area began in Tondiraba Park
Last week, the construction works were initiated in Tondiraba Park for creating a unique extreme sports area – a skatepark and a pumptrack. This will add environmentally friendly leisure and sports activities for citizens of all ages. The entire park will be completed by the end of this summer.
