Tallinn plans to collaborate with the private sector to construct an Olympic-sized swimming pool in Lasnamäe at the Kuukivi 3 and 5 (formerly Varraku 14a and 14b) properties. In 2019, Tondiraba Ujula OÜ, the winner of the state procurement that year, informed the city in late August that they would be unable to complete the construction of the pool within the agreed-upon time and conditions due to a substantial increase in construction costs. Since the construction project has already been made and all that is missing are the construction procurements, the city has decided to terminate the existing contract and plans to start a new procurement process.

On 19 May, the Southeast Asian tropical rainforest exhibition building in Tallinn Zoo was ceremonially opened. Various species can be seen and learned about, even those that have become rare in nature. Guests are welcome to visit the rainforest from 20 May.

The number of foreign tourists in Tallinn is on the rise and more than half of the city residents think that there should be more of them. From the point of view of the future of Tallinn's foreign tourism, it is important to invest in activities that increase the attractiveness of the city as a destination and to maintain a stable economic environment aimed at increasing competitiveness.

Residents’ satisfaction with the selection of cultural events taking place in Tallinn has returned to a level as high as it was before Covid-19 but the opportunities to visit these events as much as wanted is in a downward trend. The most popular cultural events organised by the city are Tallinn Old Town Days and Tallinn Maritime Days.
