This Sunday, 6 November, admission to museums affiliated to Tallinn Museum is free of charge. The next and last Museum Sunday in which the entry is free will take place on 4 December.

In March this year, Tallinn launched the Museum Sundays initiative at city-owned museums to raise awareness of museum activities and improve access to culture. During 2022, the initiative has attracted a large number of visitors, with 14 museums and exhibition halls now participating.

The first free Museum Sunday of 2023 will take place this Sunday, 8 January. The initiative will be joined by the Nõmme Museum, located in the former station building.

Since last Sunday, pre-registration is required to visit Tallinn City Museum branches on Museum Sundays to ensure a smooth museum experience for visitors. On the first Sunday in February, a total of 3363 people visited the museum, of whom 2560 had previously purchased a free ticket.

On Monday, 30 January, the City of Tallinn, in cooperation with the Tallinn Literary Centre and the Estonian Writers' Union, will award the Tammsaare Novel Prize for the fifth time. Flags will also be raised for the first time on the day to mark Estonian Literature Day.

HHLA TK Estonia and Fernride, a German developer of autonomous trucks, are testing a unique autonomous port truck in the Muuga container terminal. It has no equivalents in the world, and if the tests are successful, the Muuga project can set a completely new direction in organisation of port operations.
