On 28 August at 9.00, fifteen teams will set off from the centre of Tallinn for the electric vehicle marathon round Estonia, on the route Tallinn-Pärnu-Tartu-Tallinn.

The public transport of Tallinn will switch over to winter working hours on 1 September, which means that the timetables of many bus routes and all tram and trolleybus routes will change.

The proposed health trail in the Sütiste forest park on the border of Nõmme and Mustamäe will not be built. Further development of the Sütiste forest will be decided by the property's manager, the Estonian Environmental Board.

Next weekend, on September 10 and 11, the Tallinn Marathon will bring more than ten thousand runners from more than forty countries to Tallinn, causing several temporary changes to traffic and public transport in the city.

The Tallinn Environment and Municipal Department is looking to rent land for snow storage during the upcoming winter season. Preference will be given to sites that are located in Tallinn, but as far away from residential areas as possible to minimize noise from snow storage.

Tallinn is planning a reconstruction of Värvi, Mustjõe and Veskimetsa streets to provide a more safe environment to all road users. The public introduction of the reconstruction project of the three streets will take place on Tuesday 15 November at 5:30 pm in the Kristiine district government hall (Metalli 5).

On Friday, 25 November from 8-9 am, three sports halls and three winter swimming centers in Tallinn will be hosting a sports morning, where everyone can take part in free training sessions.

As of 1 December, parking arrangements will be changed in the Lille district of Kristiine and in parking spaces located at the Õismäe and Haabersti roundabout. With the new parking arrangements the city is trying to improve the snow clearance maintenance during winter months. Other city districts will also consider new parking arrangements.

This Saturday, 12 November, all children and young people up to the age of 19 will be admitted free of charge to Tallinn Zoo - from now until April, there will be free visits for children on the second Saturday of every month.

Tallinn’s ice-skating rinks will open on November 19. All townspeople are welcome to join the winter fun. The capital's schools have the opportunity to organize free physical education classes on the ice rinks and there will also be free access to all senior citizens.
