Tallinn has been confirmed as a candidate for the title of European Capital of Sport 2025; the winner will be announced in November this year.

Tallinn has launched a social campaign "Give your family a safe Christmas!" this week. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness about the possibility to be vaccinated with a first, second or booster dose at the Covid-19 counselling and vaccination centres in Tallinn.

From September 1, Tallinn public transport will switch over to winter schedule, and therefore the timetables of many bus lines and all tram and trolleybus lines will change. School buses will also be on the route again.

Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart, together with a five-member delegation, is taking part in the Eurocities conference in Espoo, Finland, from 8-10 June. Mayor Kõlvart will also attend the Eurocities executive committee meeting and annual general meeting.

On Thursday in Männi park, Tallinn Deputy Mayor Vladimir Svet and Deputy Head of Tallinn Urban Environment and Public Works Department Tarmo Sulg presented the concept for planning and constructing the public toilets in urban space, and stressed that the city's priority is to gradually increase the share of permanent toilets.

The Mayor of Tallinn Mihhail Kõlvart participated in the International Environment Forum – Stockholm+50 – on Wednesday, which opened the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment in Stockholm.
