Tallinn to host the world’s largest sports event for children
From 4–7 August, Tallinn will host the 57th International Children’s Games (ICG) – the world’s largest multi-sport event for 12–15-year-olds, officially recognised by the International Olympic Committee. The competition brings together city delegations from across the globe.
Park & Ride network extended to Viimsi municipality
Starting 1 August, the Hundi tee Park & Ride car park in Viimsi municipality will join Tallinn’s Park and Ride network, offering residents the option to park their vehicles securely and continue to the city centre by free public transport.
EuroPark to provide parking services in Tallinn from autumn
Starting 2 September 2025, public paid parking services in Tallinn will be provided by OÜ EuroPark Estonia, replacing the current operator AS Ühisteenused. The change of service provider is technical in nature and will not affect parking rules or prices.
IRONMAN Tallinn to temporarily close streets and change bus routes
Next weekend, 23–24 August, the international triathlon IRONMAN Tallinn 2025 will cause temporary traffic restrictions and changes in both Tallinn and Harju County. In Tallinn, these changes will mainly affect Haabersti and Põhja-Tallinn districts, with parking and traffic restrictions as well as adjustments to public transport timetables.
European Parliament elections begin today in Estonia
The week of European Parliament elections has begun today. Advance and electronic voting will take place from June 3 to June 8, with Election Day on Sunday, June 9.
Tallinn launches design competition for new Nõmme primary school building
The Tallinn Property Department has announced an idea competition for the design of a new building for Nõmme põhikool. The competition is open to all qualified architects and architectural firms. The goal is to create a modern learning environment to replace the existing school building.
Temporary changes to public transport routes and traffic arrangements in city centre
Starting Monday, June 10, construction work on water and sewer lines will begin on F. R. Kreutzwaldi Street, leading to traffic restrictions. At the same time, two-way traffic for both cars and public transport will be restored on Gonsiori Street, which has been closed since March last year due to the construction of the Old City Harbour tramway. Additionally, from June 7, the southern branch of Ahtri Street will be opened to traffic, and traffic in the harbour area will be fully restored.

Free legal advice available in Kristiine and Põhja-Tallinn in June
The City of Tallinn is offering free legal advice to residents during scheduled consultation days in each district. The next consultation days will be on June 6 from 9:00 to 14:00 at the Kristiine District Government office and on June 13 from 13:00 to 18:00 at the Põhja-Tallinn District Government office.
