In the last three years, the time taken to process building permits in Tallinn has halved, thanks to changes in current practices.

Tallinn plans to standardize the support procedure for childcare services, under which subsidies are paid to private kindergartens and daycare centers on a uniform basis. This will give parents the opportunity to choose between different services under similar conditions without having to apply for childcare service compensation every month.

The purpose of these centres is to provide help, advice and information during large-scale electricity or water outages, fire or other crises. While the emergency centres are mostly located in city district administration buildings that people are accustomed to visiting, the network is planned to be expanded.
