This spring, Tallinn allocated a total of just over 400,000 euros in restoration grants to 36 applicants. The maximum grant amount was 35,000 euros, awarded to two projects.

This week, from July 11 to 14, the Tall Ships Races Tallinn 2024 maritime festival will highlight accessibility for people with special needs. Various performances, tours, and other events have been specifically adapted to be accessible. Additionally, a guide will be developed to ensure accessibility at future cultural events.

From today, 11 July, small and medium-sized live music clubs in Tallinn can apply for programming grant for the autumn winter season of 2022. All indoor concert venues that organise regular concerts and can accommodate up to 1,000 people are eligible to apply.

Today, the City of Tallinn signed a design and construction contract with Merko Ehitus Eesti AS and KMG Inseneriehituse AS for the construction of a tram line connecting Tallinn Old City Harbour and the future Ülemiste Terminal. The cost of the contract is €36.5 million plus VAT, and the construction works are due in February 2025.

To promote separate collection of bio-waste, the City of Tallinn will provide residents of detached houses, semi-detached houses, terraced houses and two-apartment houses with home composters and collection containers on preferential terms. The Tallinn City Government submitted a draft of the third supplementary budget of 2022 to the city council. According to the draft, the city budget will increase by 22 million euros. Should the draft be adopted, the final budget for 2022 will be 1.74 billion euros.

The City of Tallinn has decided to add up to €25 for the purchase of a bicycle helmet to the "Bike to School" grant of up to €100. The application for the grant must be sent together with the application for the bicycle purchase subsidy and the invoice for the purchase of the helmet.
