The City of Tallinn and the Estonian School Sports Union have entered into a cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing collaboration and supporting and increasing the physical activity of school-aged students. The agreement was signed by Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart and the President of the Estonian School Sports Union, Gerd Kanter.
The Tallinn City Government has decided to increase several social benefit rates from January 1, 2024. In response to the rising cost of living, the city is raising the income threshold to 360 euros and the financial support for the beginning of the academic year from the second grade to 100 euros. Additionally, benefits for children with disabilities and pension supplements will also see an increase.
On 19 May, the Southeast Asian tropical rainforest exhibition building in Tallinn Zoo was ceremonially opened. Various species can be seen and learned about, even those that have become rare in nature. Guests are welcome to visit the rainforest from 20 May.

The summit centered on discussions about the future of urban policy, emphasizing the growing significance of cities in the new European policy framework, and proposing ways to ensure greater city involvement in European Union decision-making processes.
The city of Tallinn and AS Tallinna Vesi are signing a new administrative contract that regulates matters related to public water supply and sewage network and the provision of rainwater drainage services.
