Tomorrow, on 25 November, from 8am to 9am, three sports halls and three winter swimming centers will host a Sports Morning. All participants will be granted free entry.
Yesterday, the international sailing training regatta, Tall Ships Races Tallinn 2024, concluded with a historic maritime parade in the three harbors of Tallinn. Both the Tall Ships Races vessels and those participating in the Muhu Väina regatta joined forces for an impressive display on the bay of Tallinn.
Over the past two years, a comprehensive environmental education program has been conducted in Tallinn’s kindergartens and schools, teaching children to reduce waste and reuse items. The program involved 125 kindergartens and 55 schools, and activities were also held at public events, engaging approximately 31,300 children in total.
Today, the new modern building of Maasikas Kindergarten (Vasara 18) was officially opened. The new facility accommodates 240 children in 12 groups, with a total project cost exceeding €9.4 million.
The Tallinn City Government has submitted a draft regulation to the City Council, proposing a reduction in municipal kindergarten fees starting from April 1, 2025.
The Tallinn City Government has approved the locations of polling stations for the 2025 local elections. The updated list reflects voters’ preferences for casting their ballots in shopping centres, improved accessibility, and participation rates in previous elections. Polling stations with fewer than 600 voters will be merged with others. In total, 43 physical polling stations will be open across Tallinn, with one additional station designated for organising voting at the voter's location.
Within development of Vormsi green area we are engaging different stakeholders to achieve nature based solution that would suit local expectation and possibilities as much as possible. Collaboration with different organisation we are also able to reach more people and raise awareness regarding benefits of urban nature. Members of cooperation network are formed based on the main goals of GoGreenRoutes project which can be generalised under three main topics: environment, community and wellbeing.
