As part of its upcoming title year as the European Capital of Sport, Tallinn is marking World Car-Free Day on September 22 with a strong focus on sports.

On October 1, the annual Tallinn Entrepreneurship Day, themed "Forethought," will focus on the importance of strategic thinking and future-oriented approaches across various aspects of entrepreneurship. A total of 53 events, including seminars and workshops, will take place at the Radisson Collection Hotel Conference Center and other locations throughout the city. Registration opens today, September 17.

Today, the Tallinn City Government approved the detailed plan for the area between Tuukri, Jõe, and Karu streets in Kesklinn and submitted the proposed solution for public review and discussion.

The City of Tallinn, in partnership with TrackDeep, will conduct a test of a drone detection sensor and radar system on Friday, September 20 at 12 pm near the Kultuurikatel. Residents are invited to bring their drones for flight to test the system’s capacity.

In collaboration with Avolux OÜ, Tallinn has installed 50 specialized cigarette butt bins in September across areas near the city's water bodies. The initiative aims to prevent harmful waste from entering waterways while also facilitating recycling efforts.

At the end of August, a new bicycle-sharing service provider, Rekola Bikesharing, will begin operations in Tallinn. The company, which has previously operated in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, is bringing 200 mechanical bicycles to Estonia's capital, marking a new chapter in urban mobility for Tallinn.

Due to the construction of a pedestrian tunnel on Paldiski road, Baltic Station will be closed for rail traffic from July 15 to 21. During this period, the starting and ending points for passenger trains will be at Lilleküla, Kitseküla, and Tallinn-Väike train stops.

The reconstruction of Lastekodu street and the construction of communication lines at the intersection of Liivalaia street, Tartu maantee, and Rävala puiestee will bring traffic changes and public transport reroutes starting July 15. Traffic controllers will assist in guiding the traffic flow.

Construction work on Tallinna Vesi’s water and sewer lines continues on Suur-Ameerika street. The project has reached a phase where previously closed sections will begin to reopen to traffic.

Due to filming activities, there will be short-term traffic stoppages of up to three minutes on Sunday morning, July 14, on Laagna tee, Veskiposti street, and at the Haabersti roundabout. Additionally, there will be stoppages on Pirita tee on Tuesday evening.
