Tallinn’s Mahtra Basic School will become the first municipal school in the city to offer a class based on the principles of the Montessori method of education.

Today, representatives of the Ministry of Social Affairs and the City of Tallinn met to discuss the possibility of merging the hospitals in the city. This time, the legal and financial options that have been developed together were also reviewed.

The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) has released its 2024 global rankings for cities and countries in the conference industry. Tallinn has climbed to 57th place among cities worldwide, while Estonia ranks 44th among countries.

This year, 28 Highland cattle have been brought to the Paljassaare conservation area to help manage its species-rich meadows. Thanks to these cattle, the area will develop into a semi-natural coastal meadow with low grass coverage – an ideal habitat for many birds and insects.

For the 2025/26 academic year, a total of 3,906 children have been assigned a place in the first grade of Tallinn’s municipal schools.
