On 21-22 November, PÖFF will host its eleventh Music Meets Film (MMF) programme for film music creators and filmmakers, featuring acclaimed composer and pianist William Goldstein.
Tallinn to raise wages for higher-educated cultural workers next year
Tallinn's 2023 budget, presented to the city council by the city government, proposes a total of €32.3 million for cultural spending, the most important of which is an increase in the salaries of cultural workers. A number of major investments in cultural facilities are also planned.
Free admission for children to the zoo again this Saturday
On Saturday, 14 January, Tallinn Zoo will once again host a free day for all children and young people up to 19 years old. The free visits take place on the second Saturday of every month until April.
Construction works for the new tramline in Tallinn to begin next month
From 7 March, construction works will start for the first phase of the Vanasadama tramline, causing changes in the traffic regulation in the city center. The construction will begin on Gonsiori and Laikmaa streets, which will lead to the closure of Gonsiori street in the direction out of the city center between Laikmaa and Reimani streets and Laikmaa street between Gonsiori and Narva mnt towards Narva mnt.
City of Tallinn awards five live music venue grants
The City of Tallinn will support live music venues in the city in the winter and spring of 2023 as part of the City of Music activities. The city has allocated a total of €72 000 to five concert venues.

Partial restoration of traffic on Suur-Ameerika street
Construction work on Tallinna Vesi’s water and sewer lines continues on Suur-Ameerika street. The project has reached a phase where previously closed sections will begin to reopen to traffic.
Bike path construction begins on Mere and Kaarli puiestee
Due to construction work, the Mere puiestee bus stop will be closed from July 3, and the Vabaduse väljak stops on Kaarli puiestee towards the city centre will be closed from July 8. The project includes the construction of new bike and pedestrian paths, tree planting, and the reconstruction of water and sewer systems.
