From 4 to 7 August, Tallinn will host the 57th International Children’s Games (ICG). Recognised by the International Olympic Committee, the ICG is the world’s largest multi-sport event for 12–15-year-olds, where teams representing cities compete against each other.
On the top-class beach volleyball courts set up at Tallinn’s Freedom Square, enthusiasts can play until 22 August, and on the 3x3 basketball courts until 12:00 on 24 August.
On Tuesday 4th June 11.00-13.00, the Committee of Regions (CoR) organised a 2024 EU SDGs dialogue with regions and cities: Financing SDGs territorialisation in Brussels, offering a structured dialogue between the Committee of Regions, European Commission and EU local and regional authorities on SDGs financing.
On September 5th, Tallinn the European Green Capital 2023 organized a pre-event to the Open Government Partnership Summit, featuring a panel discussion followed by a reception hosted by the Mayor of Tallinn Mihhail Kõlvart.
The City of Tallinn hosted a panel discussion „Local Perspectives - Cities Leading the Way to Achieving the SDGs“ at the 12th World Urban Forum in Cairo.
As the European Capital of Sport, Tallinn will host the world’s largest multi-sport event for 12–15-year-olds from 4–7 August. The competition brings together delegations from cities across the globe.
