Next week, from May 6 to May 12, residents of Tallinn can dispose of large waste at waste stations for free.

Today, in a special session, the Tallinn City Government appointed new governors for the districts of Kesklinn, Pirita, and Põhja-Tallinn. Starting today, May 3, Sander Andla will lead Kesklinn, Doris Raudsepp will head Pirita, and Külli Tammur will manage Põhja-Tallinn. All candidates have also received approval from their respective district councils.

Tallinn is supporting 11 cultural events with a total of 20,000 euros as part of the Culture Night (Kultuuriöö) festival on August 30. This year's Culture Night, titled "Endless Horizons," highlights alternative cultural forms.

The City of Tallinn is planning to design a summer street on Aia Street in the Old Town in 2025, and a survey was conducted among residents this summer to gather input on the spatial design. On Wednesday, September 18, at 5:30 pm, a co-creation workshop will be held at Aia Street 12, where the community can continue shaping the future of Aia Street Summer Street.

As part of its upcoming title year as the European Capital of Sport, Tallinn is marking World Car-Free Day on September 22 with a strong focus on sports.

Today, the Tallinn City Government approved the detailed plan for the area between Tuukri, Jõe, and Karu streets in Kesklinn and submitted the proposed solution for public review and discussion.
