All residents are invited to participate in the voting for Tallinn's best athlete and team of the year 2023.

Tallinn has 58 municipal general education schools as of the 2023/24 school year. 48,700 students will start in these schools in September. More than 3860 of them will enter the first grade. The city offers an allowance at the beginning of the school year for students under the age of 19.

Bus routes No. 5, 32, and 57 will add a city centre-bound stop at Liiva on Männiku Road, providing more convenient connections to Liiva train station.

The city government sent the draft regulation correcting the thresholds of housing costs related to rent, electricity and heating, which have increased significantly compared to last year, to the council to be taken into account when paying subsistence benefits.

Next year, Tallinn will launch a project to count pedestrians and cyclists at key locations in the city centre. The project is supported by the European Union’s CEF Transport programme and will run until the end of 2028.

Tallinn Waste Centre and the technology company ibiot are testing sensors that monitor the filling of waste containers and give a signal when the container is due to be emptied in order to prevent containers from being overfilled and waste transport vehicles from running empty.
