Public transport popularity is on the rise again
The number of journeys by public transport in Tallinn has started to increase again. The number of journeys has increased by more than 30% when comparing the first months of 2023 with the first months of 2022.
2130 applications sent for children entering first grade
From 1 March, parents in Tallinn will be able to submit applications for the designation of schools of residence for children entering the first grade of municipal school in September 2023. In two days, 2130 applications have already been submitted, the vast majority of them via eKool.
Photo exhibition with stories of Ukrainian war refugees opens on Freedom Square
On Friday, 10 March at 4 pm, the photo exhibition "I choose life" will open on Freedom Square, depicting Ukrainians who fled to Estonia from the war and their stories. The exhibition will be open until 25 March.

Tallinn offers free legal advice in the City Centre and Haabersti in May
Tallinn has been offering residents free legal advice since March. Consultation days are held in each district according to a schedule. The next consultation days are held from 9:00-18:00 on 11 May at the Kesklinna Social Centre and from 9:00-18:00 on 25 May at the Haabersti Leisure Centre.

The city allocates a total of €400,000 of restoration grants to 54 applicants, the maximum grant amount being €30,000.
Kindergarten fee exemption process simplified for families
Families in Tallinn with more than one child attending kindergarten will now benefit from a fee exemption for the second child onwards. Previously, both the child and parent needed to be registered at the same address, but starting next year, it will suffice if both the parent and children are registered as Tallinn residents.
