The Tallinn Education Department is accepting applications for support measures for youth summer camps. The applications are accepted until 15 March. The support measure is directed towards 7-19 year olds. The applications must be sent by licensed camp organizers.
From 1 February, applications can be submitted to the Tallinn Urban Planning Department for the restoration of cultural monuments, buildings in the Old Town heritage protection area and areas of milieu value, as well as valuable buildings designated by planning.
Tallinn will provide €6.9 million in support for youth sports activities this year. The basic amount of support for amateur athletes and coaches will increase from €220 to €230.
This year, Tallinn will continue to support the cultivation of edible, culinary and ornamental plants in the urban environment - the call for applications for non-profit support in the field of urban gardening is open until 1 February and the call for applications for educational gardens until 15 February.
The summer break starting on Thursday, 15 June, offers children and young people in Tallinn plenty of opportunities for outdoor sports as well as artistic and cultural experiences over the summer.
On Monday, 19 June, the youth-oriented summer of festivals will officially begin at Inglirand. Five youth festivals will be taking place throughout the summer.
The city of Tallinn in cooperation with SA Tallinna Hambakliinik, starting 1 August, is offering the opportunity to receive dental health care services costing up to 500 euros for financially disadvantaged seniors. Coverage for dental care expenses can be applied for by Tallinn residents of retirement age who have received need-based support three or more times over the previous year.
Tallinn provides a subsidy for 10–15-year-old children to help them purchase a bicycle under the “Bike to School” programme. The subsidy is granted as a one-time payment and can be up to 100 euros. It is meant for children who have received their cyclist's permits in the year of their application or in the preceding year. Additionally, children can apply for a subsidy of up to 25 euros for purchasing a bicycle helmet.
