The Tallinn City Government has submitted to the City Council for approval a cooperation agreement between the City of Tallinn and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications to allow the development of the Rail Baltic Ülemiste passenger terminal to proceed.

From Sunday 26 December, free rapid antigen testing is provided at the vaccination, counselling and testing centre in Tallinn's Vabaduse Square. The service is intended as an additional preventive measure to reduce the risks of infection before meeting elderly people or people at high risk.

From Monday, March 1 until the end of the month, Tallinn city institutions will work according to the red scenario of internal work organization to limit the spread of Covid-19. This means that the city continues to provide all services to clients, but minimizes contacts between employees.

At today’s cabinet meeting, the members of the Government approved the decisions on the basis of which even more wide-ranging restrictions will come into force in Estonia from Thursday, March 11 until April 11. The restrictions will be eased when the spread of the coronavirus in Estonia has been reduced to the level that does not endanger the medical system’s ability to function. Today the government adopted the decisions in principle, the plan is to approve the corresponding order at tomorrow’s extraordinary meeting.

At the same time, the trajectory of the bus lines 27, 36, 61 and 62 will change from 10 am to 6 pm.

From Monday, 1 May, Bolt will set the maximum speed of electric scooters in the centre of Tallinn as 20 km/h on most streets as opposed to the previous 25 km/h. This is a pilot project born in cooperation with the Tallinn City Government and the police. The purpose is to calm traffic and monitor the change in traffic behaviour.
