Due to ongoing water and sewer pipeline construction work by Tallinna Vesi and Utilitas on F. R. Kreutzwaldi Street, several bus routes will be redirected starting June 21.

Due to gutter repairs, the Viru Bus Terminal will be temporarily closed to bus traffic from the beginning of the day on Wednesday, July 10, until the end of the day on July 31. This will affect the routes and stops for bus lines 1, 29, and 40.

Statistics for the first half of 2024 indicate a significant rise in the use of night buses in May and June compared to the beginning of the year. Tallinn operates six night bus lines, with the most popular routes being towards Mustamäe and Lasnamäe.

The Tallinn City Government has submitted its budget strategy for 2025-2028 and the implementation plan for the “Tallinn 2035” development strategy to the City Council. The budget strategy serves as a guide for directing the city’s development and creating city budgets over the next four years, considering sustainability and financial feasibility.

On May 19, it marked a year since the introduction of night bus lines in Tallinn. In addition to the four routes tested last year, two new routes to Nõmme and Pirita were added this January.

This week, the Tallinn City Government submitted a supplementary budget to the City Council for approval, which will increase the city's total budget by 9.5 million euros. The public discussion on the draft design conditions for the Pelguranna tramline will take place on 6 May at 17:30 at Tallinna Pelgulinna Riigigümnaasium. Experts will present feedback received on the draft, outline future plans, and answer participants' questions.

The usage of night buses operating year-round since January 2024 has remained stable. The most popular routes are Mustamäe and Lasnamäe.

Tallinn is planning to build a new Pelguranna tram line to create a faster and more convenient connection between Põhja-Tallinn and the city center. From March 4 to 25, all interested parties can share their opinions on the project’s planning conditions via the Pelguranna tram website. These conditions will define the key requirements and guidelines for the construction of the tramway.

It will also improve mobility options for pedestrians and cyclists.
