In the coming 2023/2024 school year, Tallinn will continue paying significant attention to improving learning environments in schools and hobby schools. In September, a new building will be opened for the Mustamäe Hobby School. A total of ten more learning facilities are also in the construction or planning phase. Hiiu School, which starts operating on 1 September, will soon join the present network of schools.
The fourth participatory budgeting idea collection initiative in Tallinn has concluded successfully, with 492 ideas submitted, out of which 149 proposals have been selected for public voting. The most popular cultural events organised by the city are Tallinn Old Town Days and Tallinn Maritime Days.
A new series of outdoor training programmes lasting throughout the summer will begin on Monday, 12 June. The objective of these programmes is to offer young people aged 7-26 a way to spend time doing sporting activities during the summer and to encourage them to exercise regularly.
