Tallinn has once again dispatched humanitarian aid to Ukraine, sending five fully-equipped ambulances and medical equipment from the Tallinn Ambulance Service.

Tallinn has expanded the availability of its free public transportation service, previously exclusive to diplomats, to now include members and officials of the foreign armed forces serving with the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence and the NATO staff element.

The City of Tallinn provides residents with free legal advice on designated consultation days scheduled in each district. The next sessions are set for April 4 from 13.00 to 18.00 at the City Centre Social Center and April 18 from 14.00 to 18.00 at the Õismäe vaba aja keskus (Õismäe Recreation Center).

In light of the upcoming shift to Estonian-language education for fourth graders starting September 1, the City of Tallinn is supporting additional activities that schools are conducting to prepare third graders. The Tallinn Education Department has launched a new webpage within its previously created leisure activities portal, providing an overview of extracurricular activity providers in the city. This platform helps young people and their parents quickly and easily find suitable extracurricular opportunities in Tallinn, including both municipal and private schools, youth centers, and sports clubs.

Tallinn is planning to renovate Löwenruh Park, focusing on preserving its natural features and enhancing biodiversity. Feedback on the park’s preliminary design can be submitted until October 27, with a public presentation scheduled for October 17, 2024.

On Tuesday, May 20, the grand finale of a business idea competition for Ukrainian women living in Estonia took place at the Jaan Poska House. Now in its third year, the initiative aims to support Ukrainian women’s entrepreneurship and increase their visibility and economic activity in Estonia.

On the weekends of 10–11 May and 17–18 May, the City of Tallinn will once again organise collection rounds for hazardous household waste and reusable items. These rounds allow residents to conveniently, safely, and sustainably dispose of hazardous materials and give new life to items they no longer need.

From May 12 to 18, residents of Tallinn (as registered in the population register) can once again bring their bulky waste—such as unusable furniture, bicycles, or baby strollers—to the city’s waste stations and the Lilleküla Circular Economy Centre free of charge.
