Tallinn is implementing additional measures to prevent illegal parking on pavements. The fine will be raised by €40, in several places driving onto pavements will be prevented with posts and landscaping and the municipal police bicycle patrol will also start as a pilot project, targeting primarily parking on bicycle lanes and pavements.
At today’s meeting, Tallinn City Government decided to submit new land tax rates to the City Council, which, according to the draft, will take effect from 1 January 2024.
This year, Tallinn has given restoration grants to support the restoration of 24 historical buildings that include restoring roofs, façades and a historical elevator. New applications for restoration grants will be accepted from the beginning of the next year.
