From August 1 to 11, the Birgitta Festival will present a diverse program, featuring breathtaking emotions, unique and premiere performances, and captivating artists.

Tõnu Kaljuste has been awarded the title of Honorary Conductor of Tallinn, recognizing his long-term dedication to music. The award was presented yesterday, August 11, at the closing concert of the Birgitta Festival.

On March 9, 81 years will have passed since the Soviet Air Force's air raid on Tallinn. In October, the Tallinn City Council declared this anniversary a city-wide day of remembrance.

On May 1 this year, Estonia marked 20 years as a member of both the European Union and NATO. In celebration, a concert titled "Our Europe. Our NATO" will take place on Europe Day, May 9, at Freedom Square in Tallinn, featuring artists such as Bedwetters, nublu, Gameboy Tetris, and Tommy Cash. The concert, running from 19:30 to 21:00, will also be broadcast on ETV and ETV+ channels.

This Saturday, March 9, marks the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Air Force's air raid on Tallinn. Led by the Estonian Heritage Society, several commemorative events will be held in the city to honor this solemn anniversary.

The Tallinn City Government has allocated €5,870 from its reserve fund to the Estonian Heritage Society (Eesti Muinsuskaitse Selts) for supporting events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the March Bombing. The society has been organizing memorial events on March 9th in Tallinn since 1989, honoring the victims of the bombing.
