In order to introduce the history of Pirita Monastery, twenty information boards in Estonian and English were installed in the ruins this year.

Tomorrow, 25 November at 6pm, the traditional Christmas market will open at Town Hall Square and the lights will be lit on Tallinn's central Christmas tree. The traditional first Advent candle will be lit on the tree in Town Hall Square by Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart and Tallinn's Provost Jaan Tammsalu this Sunday at 4pm.

Tomorrow, on 25 November, from 8am to 9am, three sports halls and three winter swimming centers will host a Sports Morning. All participants will be granted free entry.

A school for children of Ukrainian war refugees opened in Tallinn on 11 April as a branch of Tallinn's Lilleküla Secondary School. On the first day, 67 pupils started studying there, with three more children joining by the end of the week.

The spring migration of toads has started and a temporary traffic restriction has been introduced on Astangu Street in Tallinn to ensure a safer migration route for amphibians. The ban on motor vehicles on the stretch from Kotermaa Street to 19/3 Astangu Street is in force from 9 pm until 6 am. The traffic restriction will remain in force until the end of the toad migration.

The City of Tallinn is inviting cyclists to take part in an international mobility survey to map their journeys between June and September. The data collected will be used to develop a platform that analyses cyclists’ mobility patterns and will empower the city to become more bicycle friendly.

Tallinn Day will be celebrated for the 21st time on Sunday 15 May, but the first events to mark the city's birthday will take place on Friday 13 May.
