From this week, the district administrations of Tallinn will distribute free medical masks to families with many children, single parents, senior citizens and people receiving income-dependent benefits.

During the Ironman triathlon and events connected to the competition, several streets will be closed, parking will be limited and there will be changes to public transport services and their timetables on 7-8 August.

As of today, residents in each district have the opportunity to print a certificate of vaccination or COVID recovery free of charge - this can be done in the Tallinn City Office service bureau (Vabaduse väljak 7, 1st floor), in all district government service halls, and in Tallinn Central Library (Estonia pst 8) and all its branch libraries.

By the regulation of the Tallinn City Council, the city will reimburse the connection fee when joining the public water supply and sewerage system for residential buildings with a permit issued before 2011. In order to receive compensation, an application must be submitted to the Tallinn Environmental and Public Utilities Board.

In October 2020, the Tallinn Social and Health Care Department, in cooperation with the Tallinn Ambulance and the Tallinn Children's Hospital, launched a home doctor pilot project, the aim of which is to proovide medical care to sick children aged 0–12. In July and August, the project will be suspended and resumed in September.

Starting today, groups of at least 10 people in Tallinn who wish to get vaccinated against COVID-19 can invite vaccinators near their home, workplace or, for example, a singing choir. The aim of the project initiated by Lääne-Tallinn Central Hospital is to bring vaccination closer to the people and if the initiative proves successful, it can be extended to other regions of Estonia.

From August 1, Tallinn Ambulance has relaunched the bicycle brigade in Tallinn Old Town and City Centre.

People who care about the environment and biodiversity are welcome to think along and have a say at Tallinn's first climate picnic this Saturday, July 24 from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm in the Pikakari beach area.

At the end of this week, 16-18 July, the most magnificent Estonian sea party will take place in the Old City Harbour cruise area, Patarei sea fortress, Seaplane Harbour and the Noblessner seafront quarter, where artists from Estonia and the rest of the world will provide entertainment on land and at sea. Outdoor cafes, children's areas, a design street are open on the occasion and a sea taxi will provide transport from harbour to harbour.
