The City of Tallinn hosted a panel discussion „Local Perspectives - Cities Leading the Way to Achieving the SDGs“ at the 12th World Urban Forum in Cairo.
So said Yuliia Zamushynska, ecologist from the EcoVin Municipal Utility Company in Vinnytsia (Ukraine) when she introduced plans for developing waste management in Vinnytsia during a study visit to Tallinn last week.
Estonia will be represented in the global competition Creative Business Cup by SUTU, a company that has developed a material made from reeds that can be used to produce bank cards, for example. The competition will take place on 4-5 June in Copenhagen, Denmark, and will bring together around 80 countries who have chosen a creative and innovative start-up to represent them.
The Tallinnovation competition for innovation organised by Tehnopol and the city of Tallinn received a record 25 applications this year. The jury chose four companies from among them that will receive a total of 100,000 euros to help bring their solutions into the urban space.
From 13 to 17 November, European Green Capital 2023 Tallinn will host NEXPO, the international greentech exhibition, focusing on mobility. Taking place in the framework of Greentech Week, the event will convene companies offering sustainable solutions, as well as nearly 500 investors, global visionaries and top researchers from around the world.
The Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry prepared an overview of the most important legislative changes for companies that entered into force on January 1. In total, nearly 300 legal acts entered into force on the first day of the new year.
