From Saturday, September 14 to September 24, Tallinn will celebrate the 10th edition of the Days of National Cultures, celebrating the cultural diversity of the city.

The Tallinn City Government has approved the initiative to draft the "Tallinn Environmental Noise Reduction Action Plan 2024–2028." This plan aligns with the "Tallinn 2035" development strategy and the city's mobility plan, aiming to manage environmental noise within the city, particularly noise resulting from transportation and industry.

Today marked the reopening of the Tallinn Athletics Hall, following extensive renovations. The facility now boasts significantly improved conditions for both training and hosting competitions in various sports. In addition to athletics, the hall is equipped to host competitions in judo, wrestling, karate, fencing, shooting, weightlifting, and other sports.

As the nationwide strike of general education school teachers begins on Monday, January 22, most of Tallinn's municipal general education schools will participate. Starting from Wednesday, January 24, support strikes will also be initiated by employees of pre-school, hobby, and vocational education institutions.

The City of Tallinn and the Estonian School Sports Union have entered into a cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing collaboration and supporting and increasing the physical activity of school-aged students. Parents in Tallinn have until this Sunday, March 24, to submit applications for assigning a school by place of residence for children entering the first grade in the 2024/2025 academic year. This year, about 4,600 children reach school age, and the Tallinn Education Department is awaiting applications or notifications of waiver from about 900 children.

Next summer, a new beach building with an observation deck will be built at Stroomi Beach. The plan is to construct a temporary wooden modular house that can be utilized elsewhere upon the completion of a permanent solution.
