The usage of night buses operating year-round since January 2024 has remained stable. The most popular routes are Mustamäe and Lasnamäe.

Starting in the fall of 2025, five schools transitioning to Estonian-language education in Tallinn will, for the first time, open classes where instruction is conducted at the mother-tongue level of Estonian. These classes are offered through citywide enrollment, meaning children are not automatically assigned to these classes. The decision to enroll a child in one of these classes rests with the parents.

The City of Tallinn continues to support the practical training of law students this year, enabling the Estonian Lawyers' Union Student Legal Aid Office to provide free legal advice to residents of the city.

Surveys conducted among conference organizers and delegates, commissioned by the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency (EIS), revealed that international conference visitors spend an average of €1,127 per trip in Tallinn. In total, an estimated €42 million was generated for the city.

The City of Tallinn will once again offer free legal counselling to residents in 2025, with consultation days scheduled in each city district. The next counselling sessions will take place on 19 March from 9:00–13:00 at the Põhja-Tallinn District Government and on 21 March from 9:00–13:00 at the City Centre Social Centre.

Tallinn is proposing changes to electric car parking regulations in the city center. Under the new plan, only electric car owners or responsible users registered as Tallinn residents in the Population Register would be eligible for free parking. The new rule, which requires approval by the City Council, is set to take effect on July 1, 2025.

In the 2025/2026 academic year, the City of Tallinn will open classes in five schools transitioning to Estonian-language instruction, specifically for children who speak Estonian at a native level. Admission to these Estonian-language classes will be city-wide, meaning students will not be automatically assigned to these classes. Parents will decide whether to enroll their children in these classes.

Tallinn’s year as the European Capital of Sport in 2025 brings a sports program offering residents the opportunity to explore various sports throughout the year. January is dedicated to skiing, and on January 18, the Song Festival Grounds will host a skiing day, followed by the festive opening of the sports year.

Tallinn parents have until 25 March to submit applications for assigning a municipal school to children starting first grade in the 2025/2026 academic year. Over 4,500 children will reach school age this year, and Tallinn Education Department is still awaiting applications or notices of opting out for more than 1,000 children.

This year, Tallinn is providing residents with free legal advice during 17 consultation days scheduled across all districts. In February, consultation days are on the 22nd, from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Nõmme District Government and on the 29th, from 9 am to 2 pm at the Haabersti District Government.
