Tallinn adopts a strategy for international cooperation
The City of Tallinn has adopted the strategy document “International Tallinn 2035”, aimed at strengthening the city’s international position, fostering strategic partnerships, and improving crisis preparedness. Cooperation with capitals in the Baltic Sea region on civil protection and resilience is one of the strategy’s key focus areas.
Tallinn launches civil protection network for Baltic capitals
Today, representatives of Tallinn, Riga, and Vilnius gathered to discuss how the capitals of the Baltic states are working to ensure the safety of their residents. The meeting concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding that lays the foundation for future cooperation between the three capitals in crisis preparedness.
Highland cattle arrive to maintain Paljassaare coastal meadow
This year, 28 Highland cattle have been brought to the Paljassaare conservation area to help manage its species-rich meadows. Thanks to these cattle, the area will develop into a semi-natural coastal meadow with low grass coverage – an ideal habitat for many birds and insects.
Tallinn’s supplementary budget focuses on social services, education, and security
The Tallinn City Government has submitted the city’s 2025 supplementary budget proposal to the City Council, which would increase the total city budget by approximately €8.2 million. If adopted, the revised budget for 2025 will amount to €1.3 billion.
Tallinn supports housing associations financially and with different support measures
This year, the City of Tallinn plans to support housing associations with €1.71 million. Tomorrow 1 March is the deadline for the Yard maintenance grant. All other support measures are accepted all year round until the end of the budget.
Tallinn allocates an additional €2.4 million for road repairs
The City of Tallinn has allocated an additional €2.4 million to the total cost of street repairs coordinated by the Tallinn Urban Environment and Public Works Department. In 2025, the total budget for road maintenance and repairs will amount to €15.4 million.
Tallinn to host the Tall Ships Races sailing regatta in 2028
The international sail training organization Sail Training International has confirmed the host ports for the 2028 Tall Ships Races regatta. One of the selected ports is Tallinn.
