Haabersti district government organised the building of an outdoor swimming pool by the beach of Lake Harku. The pool will remain open until the end of the bathing season.

In connection with the alleviating of corona restrictions, it will be possible to visit several museums in Tallinn again this week and see both reopening and brand new exhibitions. It is required to wear a mask and follow the 2+2 rule when visiting museums, and there is a 25% occupancy restriction in force in the exhibition halls.

Tomorrow, April 15, the annual Urban Maintenance Month will be kicked off in Tallinn, which will be held for the 30th time. On Tallinn Day, May 15, the traditional washing of the city streets will take place, which also marks the finish of this year’s Urban Maintenance Month. The street sweepers will start moving from Pirita road towards the city centre at 8 am.

The development work of the Tallinn Botanical Garden is in full force, and in the coming years, a new visitor centre will be opened on its premises. Last week, the Tallinn City Property Department signed an agreement with Projektibüroo OÜ for the design of the reconstruction of the administrative building and conservatory located at Kloostrimetsa tee 52.

Today, on June 8, the thoroughly renovated Palm House was officially reopened in the Tallinn Botanical Garden at Kloostrimetsa tee 52.
