At the European Commission's high-level hybrid ceremony of signing the Green City Accord, city leaders from across Europe reaffirmed their commitment to sustainable urban development. The main principle of the Green City Accord is to accelerate green transition in the EU cities.

The Tallinn districts administrations will continue to give out free medical masks to multi-child families, single parents, senior citizens, and city residents receiving income-dependent support.

Today, the City of Tallinn signed a design and construction contract with Merko Ehitus Eesti AS and KMG Inseneriehituse AS for the construction of a tram line connecting Tallinn Old City Harbour and the future Ülemiste Terminal. The cost of the contract is €36.5 million plus VAT, and the construction works are due in February 2025.

As of 1 December, parking arrangements will be changed in the Lille district of Kristiine and in parking spaces located at the Õismäe and Haabersti roundabout. With the new parking arrangements the city is trying to improve the snow clearance maintenance during winter months. Other city districts will also consider new parking arrangements.

Tomorrow, on 25 November, from 8am to 9am, three sports halls and three winter swimming centers will host a Sports Morning. All participants will be granted free entry.

The spring migration of toads has started and a temporary traffic restriction has been introduced on Astangu Street in Tallinn to ensure a safer migration route for amphibians. The ban on motor vehicles on the stretch from Kotermaa Street to 19/3 Astangu Street is in force from 9 pm until 6 am. The traffic restriction will remain in force until the end of the toad migration.

The Tallinn City Government adopted the detailed spatial plan for the Rail Baltic Ülemiste terminal and the surrounding area on Wednesday.

A total of nine youth festivals will take place across Tallinn during the summer, focusing on extreme sports, street art and dance, and music. The summer of festivals kicks off on 14 May in Männi Park as part of Tallinn Day.
