Räägu Park, located in the Lilleküla district, which underwent a reconstruction last year and waited several weeks for permission to use it, is open to everyone from today.

Experts from Tallinn Botanic Garden have conducted studies in recent years, showing that Tallinn has preserved a significant diversity of lichens and mosses, including species that are endangered and protected in Estonia.

This Wednesday, Tallinn will celebrate Estonia’s Restoration of Independence Day with its annual concert at Harjumägi, August 20th Square. Today, 24 September, the Day of National Minorities in Estonia will be celebrated in Tallinn with a series of events introducing the cultures, tastes, and music of various nations as part of the Days of National Cultures programme.

The first outdoor e-cigarette collection boxes have now been installed in Tammsaare Park and near Kristiine Keskus as part of a pilot project to test how such a system could work in public spaces. The pilot will run until the end of October and will help determine the best way to organize outdoor collection.

Through the Test in Tallinn programme, the city offers companies the opportunity to trial innovative solutions that support smart city development. In the September application round, the evaluation committee selected eight new projects for testing from a record 29 applications.

From 15 to 17 September, thousands of lights will be lit in Kadriorg Park, Pae Park, Tallinn Old Town and Männi Park, inviting residents and visitors to take an illuminated walk. The theme of this year's outdoor light festival 'Valgus Kõnnib' (Wandering Lights Festival) is "Stories of the night".

The Tallinnovation competition, which supports smart city solutions, received ten applications this year. The city of Tallinn, along with the Tehnopol Science and Business Park, chose four winners from among the ten applicants. The winners will receive 100,000 euros of investment, which is a record-breaking sum.
