The Institute for Quality of Life, located in London, awarded Tallinn with a bronze award, placing Tallinn at 130th place in the 200 Happiest Cities ranking.

Today, the representatives of state and municipal authorities will meet with electric scooter rental companies to discuss road safety for the upcoming season. The meeting focuses on lowering speed limits and organising convenient and safe parking for personal light electric vehicles.

On 31 March, the City of Tallinn and Alfa Property OÜ signed a cooperation agreement for the construction of public infrastructure related to the Hipodroomi development. This is the first contract awarded under the public infrastructure financing regulation adopted last year.

Tallinn is implementing additional measures to prevent illegal parking on pavements. As of December 1st, companies will change the price lists for waste collection in all the areas of Tallinn. The prices for emptying mixed waste containers will increase, while the prices for emptying other waste containers will remain the same.

The Tallinn Environment and Municipal Department is looking to rent land for snow storage during the upcoming winter season. Preference will be given to sites that are located in Tallinn, but as far away from residential areas as possible to minimize noise from snow storage.

Today, the cornerstone was officially laid for the extension of the Tallinn Sports Hall, which will be completed next autumn as an important preparation for 2025, when Tallinn will be the European Capital of Sport.
