The Tallinn City Government has appointed the district governors for Haabersti and Mustamäe. Starting today, May 10, Anna Levandi will lead the Haabersti district, and Marja-Liisa Veiser will lead Mustamäe.

The Tallinn City Government approved the decision to initiate the detailed planning for the Suur-Sõjamäe 4 property and its vicinity, paving the way for the redevelopment of the shopping center located on the site and the construction of commercial buildings near the intersection of Tartu maantee and Suur-Sõjamäe Street. Additionally, the detailed plan creates the opportunity for future development of a European Park linking the Rail Baltica junction station and the shopping center extensions.

The events kick off with a meeting between the Prime Minister and the Mayor at the Short Leg Gate, followed by the Mayor opening the doors of Tallinn Town Hall accompanied by the Tallinn Police Orchestra at 12:00.

Due to construction on Ahtri Street, from May 15 to June 6, the Siimeoni temporary stop for bus line No. 66 heading towards Priisle will be located on Jõe Street in front of the building at Lootsi 3a.

On Saturday, May 18, the LHV Maijooks race will lead to partial or complete closure of certain streets in the Kesklinn and Pirita districts from 12:30 to 15:00 . The race will also affect the operations of bus lines No. 1, 5, 6, 8, 34, and 38.

Today, May 15th, the festivities for Tallinn Day commenced, marking 776 years since receiving Lübeck Rights. Celebrated for the 23rd time, this year introduces the inaugural Tallinn Night.

The Tallinn City Government has submitted the 2023 consolidated annual financial statements for approval to the City Council. As of the end of last year, the city's consolidated group achieved a result of 154 million euros, with a balance sheet total of 2.34 billion euros and net assets amounting to 1.82 billion euros.

This year, Tallinn Day celebrates the 776th anniversary of the granting of Lübeck rights.
