The Tallinn City Government has submitted a budget proposal for 2024 to the City Council, totaling 1.26 billion euros, marking an increase of 79.5 million euros or 6.7 percent compared to the revised 2023 budget.

During this year’s first round of non-profit music projects, 54 projects were submitted and the chosen projects received support from the city in the sum of 152,650 euros. In total, the expert commission decided to support 27 events.

Tallinn continues to develop its trolleybus network, with the reconstruction of the trolleybus network infrastructure and the acquisition of 40 new battery-powered trolleybuses planned over the next five to six years. The city government instructed AS Tallinna Linnatransport to start preparations for the necessary procurement.

Tomorrow, 13 October, construction work will begin in the Seli forest, which was cleaned up this spring, during which the Seli forest will be transformed into a safe family park.

For the upcoming year, Tallinn's budget allocates nearly 396 million euros for educational operations, representing almost 41% of the total operating costs. The primary focuses include the transition to Estonian-language education, increased investment, and raising the minimum wage for teachers.
