At the EUROCITIES Annual Conference “The Power of Cities - Transforming Society” held in Leipzig on 5 November, Tallinn was re-elected to the organisation's 12-member board for the second time.

Today, UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay announced 49 new cities that were designated as members of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. Among them is Tallinn, which will bear the title of UNESCO City of Music from 2022.

The capital will burst into bloom for its birthday as by Tallinn Day, tens of thousands of permanent and summer flowers will be planted in the public urban space. On Tallinn Day on May 15, citizens are also invited to participate in the planting work. Altogether, 4,020 plants that promote species richness will be seeded across the city.
