This year, in the last round of non-profit sports grants, Tallinn will allocate just over 31,000 euros to 31 local sports projects.

Since March, Tallinn has offered free legal advice to residents in every district. The last consultation days for this year will be held on Thursday, October 26 from 9 am to 5 pm at the Tallinna Kesklinna Sotsiaalkeskus (Social Center in Kesklinn) and on Tuesday, November 14 from 9 am to 5 pm at the Pirita District Administration.

Starting from November 1, Tallinn's waste treatment plants will switch to a winter schedule. All four waste treatment plants - in Pääsküla, Rahumäe, Paljassaare, and Pärnamäe - will continue to be open seven days a week, but their opening hours will be shorter during the autumn-winter period.

Tallinn Restaurant Week starts tomorrow, with 81 restaurants offering culinary delights from November 1 to 7. In collaboration with Tallinn, criteria have been established allowing restaurants to choose a dish from their à la carte menu that meets one of the set criteria and mark it with the green label. The City of Tallinn introduced a new vision for the area surrounding Linnahall today, aiming to initiate a discussion about the future of the area. Following public discussions, there are plans to proceed with detailed planning and to involve investors for the implementation of the proposed design. The area is planned for public and commercial buildings. The concept involves either a complete reconstruction of Linnahall or the construction of a new building.

The Tallinn City Government has proposed to the City Council to lease, from December 4, Hiiu Stadium, Lasnamäe Stadium, Wismari Football Stadium, and Võidujooksu Football Field to the current managing football clubs for a ten-year period.

On Thursday, November 23, from 8 to 9 a.m., a sports event will be held in three sports centers and two winter swimming centers in Tallinn. At this event, everyone can join free training sessions. The aim is to emphasize the importance of regular exercise throughout the year, even during the dark and cold seasons when various opportunities are available.

All residents are invited to participate in the voting for Tallinn's best athlete and team of the year 2023.

The Tallinn City Government plans to allocate more than 8.8 million euros in 2024 to support the transition to Estonian-language education. The measures include teacher training, recruitment of new teachers, methodological and motivational support for teachers, assistance for children transitioning to Estonian-language education, support and counseling for both parents and teachers, and the creation of an online learning environment.
