The Tallinn urban area has dozens of public fountains, where everyone can get free clean drinking water, something especially important in hot weather.
From Monday, 3 July, the Narva mnt-Hobujaama-Laikmaa intersection will be closed as part of the next stage of the Vanasadam tramway construction. As such, tram lines 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be halted until the end of August. Viru terminal will be temporarily closed and public transport redirected.
The Tallinn Strategic Management Office in collaboration with Filaret OÜ has installed 80 special rubbish bins at seaside areas to prevent cigarette butts from ending up in the sea, while simultaneously collecting valuable material for recycling.

Tallinn City has successfully reached the end of talks with all landowners in the area for constructing a tram and pedestrian pathway connecting Vanasadama and the Rail Baltic to the Ülemiste Travel Terminal and ensuring its openness to the public.

In the upcoming weekend and the following weekend, namely 13-14 May and 20-21 May, Tallinn residents can dispose of both hazardous waste and reusable items during the collection round near their homes.
Due to the LHV Women’s Run in Pirita, on Saturday 20 May from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, the locations of bus stops of lines 1, 5, 8, 34 and 38 on Pirita tee in the direction leading out of the city will be changed. The Kose tee section between Pirita tee and Rummu tee will be closed, and the routes of bus lines 5 and 6 will be changed in both directions.
