At the traditional annual conference and thanksgiving event of the Estonian Music Schools Association, Tallinn Music and Ballet School awarded the City of Tallinn the title "Friend of Music Education 2022".
From next Sunday, 5 February, free entry tickets are required to visit Tallinn City Museum branches on Museum Sundays. The tickets are available on the Tallinn City Museum website.
The Tallinn Education Department is accepting applications for support measures for youth summer camps. The applications are accepted until 15 March. The support measure is directed towards 7-19 year olds. The applications must be sent by licensed camp organizers.
Last year, 2,575 marriages were contracted at the Tallinn Family Register Office, with the oldest groom being 84 and the oldest bride 83. July and August were the most popular months for marriages, with nearly 360 marriages in each month.
The city of Tallinn has drawn up a plan for the development of public water supply and sewerage that sets the course for the development of Tallinn's water sector for the next 12 years. The public discussion of the development plan will take place on 25 April at 5:30pm at the Tallinn Presentation Centre (Vabaduse väljak 7, first floor). Feedback on the development plan can be given until 4 May 2023.
On 24 April, the restoration works of public transport stops will begin in Tallinn, during which the asphalt concrete and concrete coverings of bus stops will be renovated, broken curb stones will be replaced and well covers will be fixed up. During the restoration works, 15 bus stops will be repaired.
On Tuesday, 13 June, Dr Bruno Marques, President of the International Federation of Landscape Architects, will be visiting Tallinn to meet with Deputy Mayor Madle Lippus and give a public lecture on the topic “Landscapes and landscape architects in a changing world”.
The summer break starting on Thursday, 15 June, offers children and young people in Tallinn plenty of opportunities for outdoor sports as well as artistic and cultural experiences over the summer.
On Monday, 19 June, the youth-oriented summer of festivals will officially begin at Inglirand. Five youth festivals will be taking place throughout the summer.
