The Tallinn City Government has submitted a draft regulation to the City Council, proposing a reduction in municipal kindergarten fees starting from April 1, 2025.
The City of Tallinn will once again offer free legal counselling to residents in 2025, with consultation days scheduled in each city district. The next counselling sessions will take place on 19 March from 9:00–13:00 at the Põhja-Tallinn District Government and on 21 March from 9:00–13:00 at the City Centre Social Centre.
During the Christmas and New Year weeks, Tallinn residents with health concerns can visit hospital emergency departments, Tallinna Hambakliinik (Tallinn Dental Clinic), on-call pharmacies, or contact the Family Doctor Advice Line.
Tallinn parents have until 25 March to submit applications for assigning a municipal school to children starting first grade in the 2025/2026 academic year. Over 4,500 children will reach school age this year, and Tallinn Education Department is still awaiting applications or notices of opting out for more than 1,000 children.
This summer, Tallinn's three harbors - Noblessner Marina, Old City Harbor cruise area, and Seaplane Harbor - will host the world's largest sailing training regatta, The Tall Ships Races, inviting businesses to offer a variety of foods and drinks, Estonian handicrafts, and all kinds of attractions for children. Registration is open until June 10.
This year, Tallinn is providing residents with free legal advice during 17 consultation days scheduled across all districts. In February, consultation days are on the 22nd, from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Nõmme District Government and on the 29th, from 9 am to 2 pm at the Haabersti District Government.
Starting March 1, parents in Tallinn can submit applications for assigning a local school to children entering first grade at municipal schools on September 1, 2024.
The City of Tallinn is set to host the 2024 Tall Ships Races, an event that will attract tens of thousands of sea enthusiasts from Estonia and abroad to the city's three harbors: Seaplane Harbor, Noblessner Marina, and Old City Harbor. Organizations involved in maritime, environmental, or nature conservation efforts are encouraged to participate in the largest maritime festival at the Old City Harbor cruise area to share their knowledge with others.
