On Wednesday, 5 October, the mayors of the Nordic and Baltic capitals met online to discuss the education of children of Ukrainian war refugees and assistance to Ukrainian cities.
City government submitted a third supplementary budget to the city council
The Tallinn City Government submitted a draft of the third supplementary budget of 2022 to the city council. According to the draft, the city budget will increase by 22 million euros. Should the draft be adopted, the final budget for 2022 will be 1.74 billion euros.

The Tallinn City Government decided on Wednesday to donate 20 diesel buses to the local government of Zhytomyr Oblast in Ukraine in order to support the restoration of public transport services there.

Next year the current kindergarten fees will remain the same for Tallinn residents
Tallinn will continue to compensate families for the increase in kindergarten fees in the new year - parents will receive a subsidy or compensation if the child and at least one parent are continuously resident in Tallinn from 31 December 2022 onwards.
Tallinn Film Wonderland and conference tourism support measure boost Tallinn's business environment
In autumn 2022, a support measure for conference tourism was created to attract more conference tourists to Tallinn. The maximum amount of support is planned to be up to €30 000 per conference. Tallinn expands the range of beneficiaries of support for private schools
The Tallinn City Government has submitted to the Tallinn City Council a draft ordinance that amends the procedures for awarding grants to Tallinn's private recreational schools, expanding the range of grant recipients and adding an additional possibility to use the grant.
